The top ten Android apps in the world last month had a combined download figure of 299 million. According to Priori Data, at the top of the list was the ever popular WhatsApp with 75 million. In fact, apps developed by Facebook account for the lion’s share of the list, with WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and Facebook/Facebook Lite hauling in a combined 188 million downloads.

Also of note this month is the entry of the mobile version of the game ‘PUBG’. The battle royale style shooter has risen to an enormous level of popularity on PC and console, and, as can be seen from this chart, is now beginning to exert its grip on the mobile market with over 32 million downloads to android devices in March.
