Turkey: Our aircraft were not involved in Skyros crash incident

Search and rescue operations ongoing

Turkey reacted immediately to the incident with the missing Greek aircraft over the Aegean Sea, saying none of its fighter jets were in the air over the island of Skyros at the time of the crash. A Greek Mirage 2000-5 went missing earlier on Thursday when according to sources it was involved in intercepting Turkish aircraft that had violated the Athens FIR.
