Eighteen people have been arrested so far in the framework of police’s financial squad operation on the case of illegal tobacco products which is currently underway.
Police have confiscated over 15 millions of cigarettes, 15 tons of tobacco as well as production and standardization machines.
According to the police, the economic damage from this activity was over 2,5 million Euros.
It is also noted that in one of the containers were found pottery vessels that after being examined by an expert, he concluded that they date back to 2000 BC.
