The deal between Panathinaikos FC majority shareholder Giannis Alafouzos and Asia Fund representative Pairoj Piempongsant, for the sale of the Greek club to the latter is its final stages, after their meeting on Monday afternoon. According to sources, only minor technical details remain for the deal to be finalised. The legal teams hashing out the agreement on both sides have been briefed on the verbal agreement between the two men and are compiling the final agreement.

According to reports, the two men discussed a series of issues around the club, including its immediate goals.
