An Ibiza holiday Brit accused of having sex with a teenage boy on a hotel balcony has been cleared.
Gail Dickinson, of Glenrothes, Fife, was on trial over alleged sexual activity with the boy during the Spanish holiday last year on June 13.
The 59-year-old told the court she was “raped” – while the boy claimed the sex was consensual, but he “regretted it”.
Dickinson also denied full intercourse took place, but he forced her to give him oral sex.
The boy claimed the two had full intercourse on the balcony, with his gran claiming she witnessed the couple but was too shocked to intervene.
A jury delivered a unanimous “not proven’” verdict Dickinson at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
After the verdict, Dickinson was hugged by a family member – while the boy’s relatives were visibly upset.
She said as she left the court: “Justice has been served”.
Dickinson told the court yesterday that after a night of drinking, the boy pounced on her in the flat, reports the Daily Record.
The boy was on holiday with his mum, brother and gran, who previously told the court she caught Dickinson and the boy in the act on the balcony.
She went on: “I just remember him pushing his thing into my mouth.
“I went into a state of total shock. I managed to push him back and I was saying, ‘No, stop it.’ I ran out on to the balcony and he came charging after me.”
Dickinson added: “I managed to get away from him. I’ll never forget the fixated look on his face.
“I was terrified. He was obsessed with having sex with me.”
