Blast hits college in Crimea’s Kerch, 18 reportedly killed (Upds.)

No definite explanation yet regarding the cause of the explosion

UPD: The suspect in the Kerch college terrorist attack has been identified as a 22-year old student. He committed suicide after killing 18 people and injuring dozens with gunfire and blast, the head of the Republic of Crimea has said.

UPDATE: Ten people were killed in the blast and at least 50 were injured.

Medics confirm 34 people have been hospitalized so far.

According to Russia’s National Anti-terrorist Committee (NAC), speaks of an unidentified explosive device.

There are reports of sounds of gunshots.

According to other reports, the explosion may be the result of a gas leak and not a terrorist act.

An explosion rocked a polytechnic college in Kerch, in the east of Crimea, on Wednesday, leaving a number of people dead and injured, a source in the local emergency services told TASS.
