Recently, it hasn’t all been plain sailing for Kylie. The latest addition to her ever growing beauty brand, Kylie Skin, has come under fire for various reasons, including supposed fake reviews and a harsh face scrub.
And now, according to a source from WWD, the star might be in talks with Coty Inc – one of the biggest global beauty brands – about potentially selling Kylie Cosmetics.
Apparently, Coty Inc have been in discussion with Kylie, about buying more than half of her business, for a cool $600 million – NBD, then. What’s even crazier, is that, despite shelling out that insane amount of cash, Kylie would still be keeping 49% of her business. Madness. Coty own some of the biggest names in beauty, including Rimmel London, CoverGirl, Sally Hansen and OPI.
No one can deny that Kylie has managed to amass ridiculous amounts of money through her various business avenues. Just a few months ago, the 21-year-old was labeled a ‘self-made billionaire’ by Forbes, something that was criticized by people who argued that her success has been heavily influenced by her family. She hit back, saying “Technically, yes, I don’t have any inherited money. But I have had a lot of help and a huge platform”.
