August full moon free events across Greece

The events that will take place this year are mainly music concerts, theatrical performances, and of course, stargazing

Greece’s Ministry of Culture and Sports organizes a series of free events in archeological sites and museums offering a summer night under the light of the August full moon, int.ert.gr reports.

On the evening of Monday, August 3, 2020, 77 archeological sites and museums across the country will welcome the public, 37 of which, will include free events.

The events and the visits to the archeological sites and the museums will be conducted according to the current security protocols that have been drawn up for each archeological site and museum, in the context of limiting the spread of the coronavirus, and according to the actual security measures during their implementation.

Last year, over 60,000 people visited the archeological sites, monuments and museums throughout the country. The events that will take place this year are mainly music concerts, theatrical performances, dance performances, poetic recitations, documentary screenings, art exhibitions, and of course, stargazing. Most of the events will take place in collaboration with the local government and cultural associations.
