PM Mitsotakis: Greece absolutely satisfied with conclusions of the EU Summit

He said it made it clear what consequences Turkey would face if it continued its provocations

Newsroom October 2 10:10

“Greece is absolutely satisfied” with the conclusions of the Summit, said PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday morning, arriving for the second day of the EU-27 meeting.

“We look forward to the start of exploratory contacts as soon as possible as the two parties (Greece-Turkey) have committed,” the prime minister added.

As the EU explained in its text, it “made it absolutely clear what the consequences will be in the event that Turkey continues its unilateral actions”.

After a dramatic nine-hour meeting, the European leaders largely adopted the Greek position for a clear condemnation of Ankara and expressed solidarity with Greece and Cyprus, whose leaders Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Nicos Anastasiades French President Emmanuel Macron, and other heads of state and government.
