A 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit near the area of Volimes, in Zakynthos a little after 1 pm on Tuesday.

According to the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory, the tremor had a focal depth of ten kilometres and its epicentre was located 25 kilometres west of Volimes.
