Renowned Greek heart surgeon and spouse of Covid-19 Committee ordained a deacon

He is the husband of Athena Linos

Newsroom December 6 10:39

Renowned cardiac surgeon Dimitris Linos, the husband of Professor Athena Linou who is a member of the Covid-19 Infectious committee, was ordained a priest on the weekend but will continue to provide his services in medical science.

Dimitris Linos, who is a professor of surgery and an emeritus professor at the Medical School of the University of Athens (retired) and Director of “Ygeia” in surgery, was ordained a deacon on Saturday in a monastery of Taxiarches in Pelion by Metropolitan Ignatius of Demetrias.

The Linos family wanted the ceremony to remain a private matter without media publicity, as a result of which these two Holy Monasteries were selected, while in the nunnery there is a timeless relationship with the abbess.
