The Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted

Newsroom December 23 08:04

Turkey continued its provocations against Greece over the Aegean Sea with undiminished intensity, as a day before Christmas eve, the Turkish Air Force sent seven F-16 fighter jets over the Aegean committing 39 violations of national airspace.

Among the 39 violations, there were two overflights made by Turkish fighter jets when a pair of Turkish F-16 fighter jets flew at 25,000 feet over the Anthropogagoi isles, while a minute later, the two Turkish fighter jets flew over Makronisi, at the same altitude.

Turkish aircraft moved today in the Northeast and Central Aegean and two of them were armed. According to the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNGS), there were four infringements of air traffic rules in the Athens FIR.
