The Minister of Finance, Christos Staikouras will have to spend the New Year in the hospital.
According to an announcement, Mr. Staikouras was admitted yesterday, December 30, 2021, with acute abdominal pain, while he was diagnosed with acute lithiasis cholecystitis.
Today, he underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
Doctors report that his clinical postoperative course is excellent. However, he will remain in the hospital for a few days.
