A 5.3 magnitude earthquake rocked the region of Florina in Macedonia, Greece. The tremor struck a few minutes ago 3 kilometres northwest of Florina and at a focal depth of 14.3 kilometres. The earthquake, according to initial reports, was felt in the whole of Northern Greece.
According to reports, the tremor had a long duration and its rumbling was felt as far south as the area of Trikala.
Within the next few minutes, three more aftershocks were recorded, 3.5 Richter 19 km west northwest of Florina and at a focal depth of 5 km, 3.5 Richter at a focal depth of ten km and 4.1 Richter also at a depth of 10 km.
