Maria Sakkari breezed past Qinwen Zheng 6-1 6-4 in the 2nd round in Melbourne on Wednesday after playing a terrific match, setting up a fight against Veronika Kudermetova in the 3rd round.

The match lasted 1 hour and 29 minutes. Her best result in this competition was reaching the 4th round in 2020.
