Coronavirus Greece: 20,507 new cases, 108 deaths, 679 intubated

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,964 patients have been discharged from the ICU

Greek authorities announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 20,507, of which 59 were detected after checks at the country’s entry points. The total number of cases amounts to 1,762,870 (daily change + 1.2%), of which 49.8% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 433 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,643 are related to an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 108, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 22,476 deaths have been recorded. 95.0% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 679 (59.2% men). Their median age is 66 years. 81.3% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 548 (80.71%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 131 (19.29%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,964 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
