Arab stockbroker found dead in Athens Riviera hotel

Reports say drugs were found in his hotel suite

Greek police are investigating the death of a known Arab stockbroker whose body was found in a hotel on the Athens Riviera.

The 44-year-old, originally from Cairo, has been living in Athens for the last few weeks, where his relatives also visited him during the holidays. On Friday a short while ago the waitress of the luxury hotel found him dead after his whereabouts were unknown for some days.

According to reports, quantities of cocaine, cannabis, and Xanax pills were found in the suite, while in recent days he had withdrawn tens of thousands of euros from his bank account.

The dead stockbroker, originally from Cairo, came to Greece with a Swiss visa, was active in Switzerland and Dubai, while he is said to have made investments in Greece as well.
