Maccabi Tel Aviv BC announced its decision to part ways with Greek coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos, according to an article on the Sport5 website.
The contract between the two sides was terminated after three years of cooperation, effective immediately.
Sfairopoulos took over Maccabi in November 2018 and won three consecutive championships and a Cup.
The separation was exacerbated a few minutes after the end of Maccabi’s match with Hapoel and the defeat of Sfairopoulos’s team, but also of the episodes that followed, with the players and the coach fleeing by security personnel after attacks by infuriated fans!
