A 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurred 43 kilometres northeast of the city of Sitia in Crete, at 08:38 Greek time, according to an announcement by the Geodynamic Institute.

The earthquake occurred at a distance of 363 km northeast of Athens and the epicentre of the tremor is located in the sea area 43 km northeast of the city of Sitia.
