Coronavirus Greece – 12,997 new cases, 51 deaths and 384 intubated

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,302 patients have been discharged from the ICU

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours by EODY are 12,997, of which 19 were identified after checks at the country’s entry points. The death toll rose to 51 and the number of intubations reached 384.

The total number of cases is 2,499,259 (daily change + 0.5%), of which 49.5% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 235 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,078 are related to an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 51, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 26,143 deaths have been recorded. 95.1% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 384 (64.6% men). Their median age is 68 years. 89.3% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 265 (69.01%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 119 (30.99%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,302 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
