Chris Rock took to the stage on Wednesday night and spoke for the first time about the live slap he got on stage on the night of the Oscars from his colleague Will Smith.
Emotionally charged, the actor made his first statements about the unprecedented incident in his performance at the “Wilbur Theater” in Boston.
The audience greeted him a really long standing ovation.
“Let me do my show”, said Chris Rock, expressing his gratitude to the audience for the warm welcome.
Without losing his sense of humor, he said, “How was your weekend?” with the audience bursting into laughter.

The comedian is currently touring under the title “Ego Death Tour”.
After a short break, Rock returned to the stage for a second performance with the audience unable to contain their excitement.
He stated that he intends to speak at some point in more detail about the incident at the Oscars and it will be “serious and funny”.
