Coronavirus Greece – 21,099 new cases, 51 deaths and 355 intubated

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,459 patients have been discharged from the ICU

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours in Greece are 21,099, of which 14 were identified after checks at the country’s entry points. The total number of cases is 3,030,429 (daily change + 0.7%), of which 49.1% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 177 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,525 are related to an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 51, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 27,510 deaths have been recorded. 95.3% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 355 (65.6% men). Their median age is 69 years. 92.1% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 209 (58.87%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 146 (41.13%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,459 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
