The Turkish Air Force committed 24 violations of the Greek national airspace today. The 20 violations were committed by a Turkish UAV drone and the remaining four by F-16 fighter jets.
A total of 13 Turkish aircraft flew over the Aegean, ten of which were F-16 fighters and the rest 1 CN-235 spy, 1 helicopter, and 1 UAV.
The Turkish planes flew in the Northeast, Central, and Southeast Aegean and committed 12 infringements of air traffic rules.
According to the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), the Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules, in accordance with established practice.
