A major effort is underway to reactivate all existing Army Air Force assets

The Hellenic Army Aviation sent a strong deterrent message with the simultaneous take-off of 8 OH-58D Kiowa Warrior reconnaissance helicopters and 14 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters in Stefanovikio in Thessaly, central Greece.

The Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis was present at the headquarters of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade (1st CLASS) “Kilkis Lachana”, at the 404 General Military Hospital of Larissa and at the 303 Advanced Base Factory.

General Charalampos Lalousis inspected the premises and facilities, noted the high level of operational readiness and morale of the staff, thanked them for the work they are doing, and gave directions for the execution of their mission.

In the Army Air Force, a major effort is underway to reactivate all existing Army Air Force assets, which in the first phase includes support programmes for the NH90, CH-47D, OH-58D, and AH-64A helicopters.
