Turkish provocations in the Aegean with 34 violations by F-16s and drones

The Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules

Turkish provocations in the Aegean continued today, Tuesday, with violations of Greek airspace by F-16 fighters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and naval cooperation aircraft (ATR-72).

Specifically, 34 violations were recorded, six of the eight were from F-16 fighters and 28 of the unmanned ones.

At the same time, 10 violations were recorded in the North-East, Central, and South-East Aegean.

According to the information provided by the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), four pairs of Turkish F-16 fighters, two Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), and an ATR-72 (electronic warfare aircraft) committed 12 infringements of air traffic rules in the Athens FIR and 60 violations of Greek airspace.

The Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules, according to standard practice.
