Teen, 14, sexually assaulted by foreigner on a trolley in Athens

The culprit was arrested

Newsroom November 23 10:21

A 14-year-old student was brutally sexually assaulted on a trolley in the Zappeion area by a 30-year-old, reportedly a French citizen of African origin, who, after recording the teenager with his mobile phone, then pounced on her, threw her on the seats and started beating her touching her chest and buttocks while cursing at her.

The driver of the trolley who saw the scene of terror stopped the vehicle and called the police, as a result of which the perpetrator was arrested, taken to the prosecutor, and after a trial was set released.

The horrific ordeal for the teenager began at dawn on November 19, while the trolley was at the height of Zappeion.

At about 04:45, the 14-year-old student from Poland was sitting with three of her friends as the girls were returning home after a night out.

The culprit, named Bilal Mohamed Bouferara, was sitting across from the girls when suddenly the little girl saw the foreigner staring at her persistently.

A few minutes later the man defiantly started recording her with his mobile phone. The frightened teen asked him to stop recording her but he refused.

When the little girl started protesting more strongly asking him not to disturb her and to erase everything he has recorded, the man stood up and rushed at her.

In a rage, the man grabbed the child, threw her on the seats, and after hitting her on the head, started touching her chest and buttocks while using vulgar language.

The teen started calling for help resulting in the trolley driver stopping the vehicle, closing the doors, and notifying the police. The police officers who rushed to the scene entered the trolley and handcuffed the perpetrator.
