The Hellenic Navy proceeded to the issue of a new Navtex for the expansion of seismic surveys in order to locate hydrocarbon deposits south of Crete.
Navtex concerns the vessel Sanco Swift which is towing a 12km cable.
As reported. the Navtex involves “equipment development and seismic surveys” to be carried out by the Sanco Swift ship supported by the Alexander 3 ship.

The Navtex concerns ExxonMobil’s explorations in the area and now foresees their expansion and is valid “until further notice”.
The two Navtex cover the course of the vessel Sanco Swift of the Norwegian company PGS on the two blocks belonging to the ExxonMobil-Helleniq Energy joint venture with the relevant actors not hiding their expectations for a deposit that will be extremely important, but also for its fairly quick exploitation, in the standards of other large deposits in the area.
