Motion of no confidence by Tsipras – The debate begins

The debate starts at 18:00, voting will take place on Friday - PM Mitsotakis: "The motion is accepted, I was challenging him for months to do that"

The debate on the motion of no confidence submitted by the president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, regarding the wiretapping case begins at 6:00 p.m.

The challenge was accepted by the government as announced by the Minister of State, Giorgos Gerapetritis during his intervention and he requested that the discussion begin immediately so that the process can be completed on Friday when the Prime Minister leaves for a planned trip to Japan.

From the side of SYRIZA, the presenters will be Dimitris Tzanakopoulos and Nikos Filis, while from the New Democracy, Dimitris Markopoulos who will speak first, while in the government seats will be the Minister of Development, Adonis Georgiadis.

During his speech, Alexis Tsipras spoke of a “criminal network” in the Maximos Palace headed by the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Among other things, during his deposition, he revealed the contents of the file he received from the president of ADAE, Christos Rammos.

As Mr. Tsipras said, the file given to him by the independent authority confirms that 10 persons were being monitored in total, among them, the current Minister of Labor and former Minister of Energy, Kostis Hatzidakis, the president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, the MEP, Giorgos Kyrtsos, the journalists, Tasos Telloglou and Thanasis Koukakis as well as the head of the Joint Chief of Staff, Gen. Konstantinos Floros, the head of Army General Staff, Gen. Lalousis, the former national security advisor, Mr. Diakopoulos, the former and the current head of the General Directorate for Defence Investments & Armaments Mr. Lagios and Alexopoulos.
