The Hellenic Air Force General Staff confirmed the death and the captain of the fatal F-4E Phantom II that crashed south of Andravida.

The announcement of the HAF General Staff:

“The Hellenic Air Force General Staff announces that today, Wednesday, February 1, 2023, the search and rescue operations to locate the pilot of the F-4E Phantom II aircraft, Captain (I) Efstathios Tsitlakides, 31 years old, following the plane crash of January 30 2023, 25 nautical miles south of Andravida Airport, have been completed.

The collection and analysis of the findings confirmed his death.”
