Skopelos, one of the most verdant islands in the Aegean, is covered by pine forests, which account for 67% of its total land surface. Every year, numerous visitors arrive, some on private boats and yachts, drawn to the island’s crisp aquamarine waters and immaculate beaches, high-quality accommodations, and picturesque villages.

The island has its own unique cuisine and a diverse range of food options, and you can enjoy your meals at classic fish tavernas by the sea, village tavernas grilling top-quality meats to order, and elevated eateries dishing out European and Mediterranean cuisine. One of the island’s most famous delicacies is the homemade twisted ‘Skopelitiko’ cheese pie.

Agnanti
Food is served on a lovely balcony overlooking the sea, even though it’s located in the village of Glossa, almost 1 kilometre away from the sea. Agnanti honours its name (it means looking at the view in Greek) by offering a unique view, so it’s great at sunset and we recommend you book a table to visit it then. It’s been in business since 1953 and is now run by the fourth generation. They grow their herbs and vegetables at their garden, they collaborate with the island’s fishermen and source the best quality meat. Try the asparagus salad, the seafood orzo “risotto”, the gurbell, and also the Alonnisos’ tuna stew.
