“The wave of victory swelling from here in Ioannina will bring a new self-reliant ND government to the elections of May 21st,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said a while ago, speaking at a New Democracy event in Ioannina.

“We have held many rallies in this room, but this is by far the largest. Ioannina, and Epirus, are sending their own message of optimism and hope today. From this place that I love so much, the wave of victory is swelling,” added Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who emphasized that he is “even more determined to clash with all the interests that hold our homeland back.”

Some of the points the PM brought up during his speech: “It is true that for the last 4 years, we have passed as a country and we have overcome a lot. Together we also experienced painful moments like in Tempi. They are tests that revealed timeless gaps and weaknesses, islands of an anachronistic yesterday that resist and managed to take its revenge on us before we uprooted it, making the battle against it even more imperative.”

“All these adversities that befell us did not bend us because the government stood by the trying citizens and the trying businesses. We kept the society, the economy, and the work standing. There is no businessman who does not recognize that the State stood by his side. There is no worker who does not know that the State paid the wages to preserve jobs.”
