4.5 earthquake rocks Attica

An earthquake was recorded in Attica shortly after 11:38 on Saturday morning (22/4).

According to the first assessment of the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake was measured at 4.5 degrees on the Richter scale and had its epicenter 6 km from Zarakes in Evia.

The focal depth is located at five kilometres. So far there are no reports of damage or injuries.

A magnitude 3.4 aftershock followed at 12:06 p.m.
