Thom Hiddleston, the Hollywood star who gained international fame portraying Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), was spotted at a taverna in Nafprion, Greece.
The staff and patrons of the “Bunos Psarosavouras” fish restaurant in Nafplion had an unexpected surprise when the famous British actor made an appearance in their shop.
In a picture posted on the tavern’s Facebook page, the star happily posed with staff after enjoying traditional Greek cuisine.
“Tom Hiddleston, also known as Loki in the Marvel series of the same name, was in Nafplion and honoured us with his presence” read the caption of the post, which was made just a few hours ago and has already made the rounds on the internet.
The actor’s Greek fans took to social media to comment on the arrival of the superhero ‘Loki’ in the country, with some expressing their excitement that the actor was visiting, while others expressed their disappointment at not being able to see him in person.
“I’m really going to faint!” one fan wrote, with another saying: “So glad he’s visiting our country. ” “No man, I was drinking coffee down there,” another person commented on Instagram.
Hiddleston, 42, is one of the biggest stars of his generation, with his role as Loki in 2011’s ‘Thor’ catapulting him worldwide. The actor played the role 7 more times from 2012 to 2021 and is also set to reprise his role in the second season of the Loki series, which is expected to be released this summer.
Hiddleston has also appeared in numerous high-profile films, including John Le Carré’s The Night Manager, Jim Jarmusch’s Only Lovers Left Alive, Steven Spielberg’s War Horse, Woody’s Midnight in Paris Allen, and Guillermo Del Toro’s “Purple Hill”.
