The aura of the stand of the “Diego Maradona” stadium was transferred to a church in Naples, where the priest together with the faithful shouted the slogan of the Napoli after the team won the Italian title after 33 years.

The Neapolitans are in a state of intoxication in the last few hours thanks to the return of Napoli to the throne of Italian football. The Partenopei mathematically sealed the Scudetto after the 1-1 draw against Udinese and from Thursday night (4/5) their fans indulged in wild celebrations, with the “madness” even reaching the churches.

The images that unfolded in the Cathedral of San Vitale in the Fuorigrotta area, very close to the “Diego Armando Maradona” stadium, are typical of what is happening in Naples in the last hours.

In particular, the priest took the microphone in the middle of the service and began to shout the well-known slogan of the Partenopei fans, “Sarò con te ” (I will be with you). The dozens of believers who had come to the temple immediately followed, creating an atmosphere from the… horseshoe.

Supporters streamed onto the pitch at the Dacia Arena to celebrate after a season dominated by Luciano Spalletti’s side, creating moments of tension with home fans not happy at such open partying on their ground.
