The swearing-in ceremony of the 300 MPs begun in the Plenary Session of the Hellenic Parliament at 11:00′ a.m. in the presence of the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

On Tuesday, July 4, the election of the House Speaker will take place.

New Democracy will propose the renewal of the term of office of Mr. Konstantinos Tasoula for the position of President, while for the position of First Vice President, Mr. Yiannis Plakiotakis is expected to be nominated instead of Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis.

For the position of Second Vice President Mr. Giorgos Georgantas will be nominated instead of Charalambos Athanassios, while Mr. Thanasis Bouras will be re-nominated for the position of 3rd Vice President.

For the remaining positions, the following MPs are expected to be nominated: Mrs. Olga Gerovasili from SYRIZA, Mr. Odysseas Konstantinopoulos from PASOK, while the other parties have not announced their candidates yet.
