Movement in Volos prohibited due to storm “Elias”

All schools closed for 2 days

The residents of the wider area of Volos received a message via 112, due to the developments in the storm front Elias restricting their movement.

“By order of the police, traffic in the wider area of Volos is prohibited, due to the development of dangerous weather phenomena” reads the message of 112.

The mayor of Volos, Achilleas Beos, sent a message to citizens not to avoid any movement for safety reasons and to facilitate the work of the crews, in a video published on Facebook.

“The worst scenarios for the development of the new bad weather affecting our city are unfortunately confirmed,” Beos said.
