A 5.1 Richter earthquake occurred in the morning in Evia, according to the revised solution of the Geodynamic Institute.
The earthquake was particularly felt in Attica.
The epicenter is located 6 kilometers east of Prokopio Evia and the focal depth at 14.2 kilometers.
The Euro-Mediterranean Institute gives a slightly different magnitude, estimating it at 5.3 Richter.
Seven minutes later, a 3.7 Richter earthquake with a focal depth of 5 km occurred from the same epicenter which was also felt in areas of Attica.
According to the governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, there is damage to shops that have fallen shelves and there have been landslides on roads near the epicenter, in the villages of Pyli and Prokopi.
The road has been closed on the Kakia Skala road on the eastern side.
Damages have also been recorded in businesses with broken windows, mainly in Agios Ioannis Rosos.
