Among 21,213 olive oil samples, from 37 countries and 2000 companies, in 35 international competitions, Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms for 2023 were honored with:

• 8 gourmet olive oils in the TOP Flavored Oils of the Year 2023
• 7 of the top 10 positions worldwide, in the top TOP 10 Flavored Oils of the World 2023, with the same number of olive oils
• 5 extra virgin olive oils at the EVOO OF THE YEAR 2023

At the end of each olive harvest year, the World Association of Journalists and Writers of Wines and Spirits (WAWWJ) collects and ranks all the olive oils that have been selected in renowned international competitions throughout the world, for their taste and quality, with the method of blind tasting based on the rules of the International Olive Council. This global olive oil ranking, called EVOO World Ranking (EVOOWR), is part of the WAWWJ world ranking, created in 1997.

On 6/01/2024, the final results of the global olive oil ranking, Evoo World Ranking 2023 (EVOOWR 2023) were announced for this year.

For 2023, EVOOWR examined 21,213 samples of olive oil, from 37 olive-producing countries and more than 2000 companies respectively, which had already been distinguished in 35 international competitions, of high prestige and international scope.

A remarkable note on the 2023 world ranking of olive oils is the emergence of Greece as the winner and No.1 country – producer of gourmet olive oils at a global level, gathering 13,058 points, in the World Ranking of Countries of Flavored Oils 2023 category.

Additionally, Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms emerged as winners and No. 1 olive producer of gourmet olive oils worldwide, with 5,602 points, in the same category, contributing to Greece 43% of its points as a percentage, emerging in the 1st place in the world for 2023.

Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, for the taste and quality of their olive oils, were honored with very high distinctions, for 2023, worldwide. Specifically:

• With the No. 1 position in the world as a company – producer of gourmet olive oils
• With 8 gourmet olive oils in the TOP Flavored Oils of the Year 2023 worldwide

Futhermore, Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, based on the global ranking EVOOWR 2023, are the No.1 company – producer of gourmet olive oils of Greece (Best Society Flavored Oil of Greece 2023), with their gourmet olive oil Masterpiece Blend Evoo being declared the best Greek gourmet olive oil of 2023 (Best Flavored Oil of Greece 2023), with a new record of points (874.50 pts).

At the same time in the world ranking of olive oils EVOOWR 2023, Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms were honored as a producer of extra virgin olive oils, with very high distinctions. In detail:

• As a company – producer of extra virgin olive oils, they ranked in the very important TOP 25 SOCIETIES OF THE WORLD 2023, i.e. in the top 25 companies in the world, among more than 2000 companies – producers of the EVOOWR 2023 global ranking. It should be noted that only 1% of companies and producers from all over the world reach the TOP 25 SOCIETIES OF THE WORLD.
• Five (5) organic olive oils are distinguished with the title “Olive Oils of the Year 2023” (EVOO of THE YEAR 2023), among 21,213 olive oils, from 37 countries that participated and were tasted in 35 international competitions. It is noteworthy that only 2.5% of olive oils worldwide were awarded with the title of EVOO of THE YEAR for 2023. These olive oils are:

• The organic olive oil “Fyllikon First Harvest” was honored by being included in the TOP 10 of the best extra virgin olive oils of Koroneiki variety in the world, for 2023, while the organic olive oils “Agourelaio Early Harvest” and “Armonia Monovarietal” were honored by being included in the TOP 20 of the world’s best extra virgin olive oils of Koroneiki variety, for 2023.
• The specialized multivarietal olive oils “Plus Health Multivarietal Green Evoo” and “Plus Health Multivarietal Blue Evoo” are included in the TOP 100 best multivarietal extra virgin olive oils in the world, for 2023, among 1360 olive oils of the same category that were distinguished in the 35 international competitions of 2023, worldwide.

The above distinctions, in the top positions of the EVOOWR 2023 global ranking of olive oils, constitute a major reward for a Greek olive producer, especially for organic olive oils, but mainly for Greece that is highlighted in the global olive growing map.

Additionally, with these high-level distinctions at a global level and among 21,213 olive oils from 37 countries around the world, included in the EVOO World Ranking 2023, the unique number of 833 international awards in recognized competitions of high prestige around the world is achieved by Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms.

This number constitutes an ongoing global record of distinctions for a Greek olive producer (Single Estate & Terroir organic producer), leading our country, Greece, to the top positions of the global olive industry.
