Explosion near a ship off the coast of Yemen

The Ambrey navigation safety company reported that a missile exploded within 100 nautical miles of the ship, but did not hit it

An explosion occurred near a ship off the coast of southern Yemen today, Britain’s Maritime Safety and Security Agency (UKMTO) said, adding that the ship’s crew were safe.

“The captain reported an explosion near the ship” in the east of the city of Aden, the UKMTO said, adding that the ship was heading to its next port of call. Ambrey Navigation Safety reported that a missile exploded within 100 nautical miles of the ship but did not hit it.
