Aristotle University of Thessaloniki: Operation of the ELAS to evacuate the blockade at the Law School – Watch video

Police officers have blocked all access to the faculty - A letter from the dean had previously appealed for the blockade to be stopped in order not to lose the semester.

Operation to end the blockade at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is being carried out by the ELAS since Monday morning.

According to reports, the operation began at about 5 am with strong police forces entering the premises of the Law School in a coordinated manner and opening the doors that had been closed with chains and padlocks by the squatters.

At the same time riot squads have blocked every possible passage to the administration building of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and to the entrance of the Law School.

According to thestival.gr, during the police operation, no person was found inside the building.

The police operation comes in response to the letter sent to the students by the dean of the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Panagiotis Glavinis.

Mr. Glavinis appealed for an end to the takeover in order not to lose the semester.
