Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was received by the President of India, Narendra Modi, at the Presidential Palace in New Delhi on Wednesday morning, accompanied by his wife, Mareva Grabovski-M Mitsotaki, who had chosen clothes in the colours of the Indian flag.

The Greek Prime Minister described it as an honour to be in India on an official visit in return for the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Athens a few months ago.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis said “for Greece, strategic cooperation with India is particularly important and we will have the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues, there will be political consultations and strategic cooperation to strengthen our economic ties.”

“It is an honour to be here and I look forward to discussing with the Prime Minister,” the Greek Prime Minister concluded his brief statement during the reception ceremony by his Indian counterpart.

The Greek PM also visited the Mahatma Gandhi memorial in New Delhi and left his own message in the visitors’ book.
