The passenger vessel “Champion Jet I” arrived at the port of Lavrio a short while ago following an incident involving the injury of a crew member.

According to information from the Coast Guard, the vessel, which was operating the route from Paros to Mykonos, Tinos, Andros and Rafina, made an emergency stop at the port of Lavrio in order to disembark a 32-year-old crew member who had been injured.

The condition of the injured person has not been made known; however, his disembarkation was deemed necessary for the immediate provision of medical care.

At the same time, it was reported that the “Champion Jet I” will remain in the port of Lavrio, as adverse weather conditions prevail in the area, which do not allow the safe continuation of the voyage.
