Which Greek island does the Daily Telegraph recommend as an ideal family destination? (video)

The international outlet states that this Cycladic island is "a tranquil alternative compared to the overly touristy islands surrounding it"

Newsroom February 28 01:01

The Daily Telegraph ranks Naxos among the top 5 family destinations in Greece.

The international outlet describes the largest Cycladic island as “a tranquil alternative compared to the overly touristy islands surrounding it.” Similarly, the Austrian newspaper Kurier refers to Naxos as a “treasure that luckily still seems unexplored” and invites walkers to discover the paths, enjoy the local cuisine, and explore the Cycladic and medieval alleys.

Last summer, a visit by numerous Austrian professionals and journalists took place on the island with the support of the Greek National Tourism Organization, the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades, and the organization Springer Reisen. Alongside features in Austria and England, Naxos ranks first among Greek islands on a list announced by Spanish Business Insider of the top 10 places in the world. Nature, mythology, gastronomy, and activities differentiate Naxos from competitive destinations. The year 2023 ended positively with new records in visitation, while the narrative for the new season spreads across a range of markets with authenticity as its spearhead.

It is noted that from March 15th to 17th, the municipality is organizing a three-day original carnival event full of colors, musical traditions, and revivals of Dionysian customs, extending the first call to residents and travelers, in anticipation of the new season.
