With souvlaki, music and endless dancing until the early hours of the morning, Greeks celebrated Tsiknopet Thursday all over the country.
People poured into the streets, the barbecues were on fire and with the accompaniment of music and plenty of booze, the party lasted until the early hours of the morning, while catering businesses had no time to grill souvlaki and other meats.
The Vassileos Heraklion Street in Thessaloniki was full of people for the traditional feast of the day, while the Ladadika were also honoured.
The picture was the same in Ladadika, with crowds of people and open-air grills.
There was also a feast in the centre of Larissa, where hundreds of people descended on the city centre for barbecues, drinks and dancing.
