The starting signal for the 12th Athens Half Marathon was given on Sunday morning.

Thousands of runners of all ages participated, adding a unique touch to Sunday morning with their energy.

There are three races taking place today: the Half Marathon covering a distance of 21 kilometers, the 5-kilometer race, and the Family Run, where children will run accompanied by adults.

The start was at 9:00 for the 21 km, at 09:25 for the Family Run, and at 12:00 the start was given for the 5 km.

At the same time, traffic for vehicles in the center of Athens is almost impossible.

Traffic regulations will be in effect from 06:00 in the morning until 14:00 in the afternoon.
