Reactions were caused in Turkey by the move of Greek tourist Apostolos Papatheodoros to be photographed inside Hagia Sophia holding the Greek flag in his hands.
In the caption of the photo posted on Instagram, the Greek tourist wrote “My beloved city, forever Greek”.
The posting of the photo and its republication by Turkish media provoked reactions from Turks on social media with most of them calling it provocative and many blaming the Turkish authorities for allowing the move, they note.
