Nikos Dendias: In the US for a series of meetings with the Greek diaspora

He will also meet with distinguished scientists from top US academic institutions

The Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, will travel to the USA, where he will have meetings with the academic community and the Greek Diaspora in Boston on Friday, April 12 and will attend the commemorative events for the celebration of the National Anniversary of March 25, 1821, in New York on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 as a guest of the Federation of Greek Societies of Greater New York.

On Friday, April 12, the minister will have a series of meetings with members of the diaspora in Boston, as well as distinguished scientists from top academic institutions in the USA.

The Minister of National Defense will visit:

– The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he will meet with specialists in Technology and Shipbuilding, in view of the implementation of the “Agenda 2030” in the Greek Armed Forces.

– The Harvard Kennedy School, where he will deliver a speech on geopolitical developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the role of Greece.

– The Fletcher School of International Relations at Tufts University, where he will meet with the School’s Administration, academics, and the head of the Constantine Karamanlis Chair, Fotini Pazarzi.

Additionally, during his stay in Boston, at 20:15 (local time), the minister will attend a dinner with Metropolitan Methodios of Boston and representatives of the Greek Diaspora.

On Saturday, April 13, Nikos Dendias will travel to New York, where he will participate, at 19:00 (local time), in the celebratory event of the diaspora for the National Anniversary of March 25.

On Sunday, at 10:30 (local time), April 14, the Minister of National Defense will participate in the festive liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, presided over by Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.

Subsequently, at 13:30 (local time), Mr. Dendias will attend, as a guest of the Federation of Greek Societies of Greater New York, in the capacity of Honorary Parade Marshal, the grand parade for the Greek Independence of 1821, which will take place on 5th Avenue.
