Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis sent a message that the fight against price hikes is ongoing and that the government is showing encouraging signs that persistent inflation in food has decreased adding that price reductions are in effect. It is noted that according to the Ministry of Development, after having checked 40 basic fruits and vegetables, reductions were observed in 23 products, increases in 10, while prices remain stable for 7.
Government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis highlighted that the decline in prices demonstrates the effectiveness of the government’s intervention in the supply chain, particularly ensuring transparent pricing.
