The representative of Israel at Eurovision, Eden Golan, managed to qualify for the grand final on Saturday, May 11th.
After stepping off the stage in Malmo, Sweden, the singer made statements to the journalists.
Initially, she stated: “I feel that both my dancers and I did a great job, as did everyone involved in the process. We are very excited.”
Later on, she explained that she was stressed about her performance.
“I was a bit nervous; you have to have anxiety. Thank you to all who supported us,” said Eden Golan.
As later reported by the show’s journalist, the Israeli representative arrived at the stage accompanied by 100 police officers due to protests against Israel taking place outside the venue.
“You couldn’t approach her inside the stadium because they fear for her safety,” the journalist said.
Eden Golan will compete in the grand final on Saturday, ranking sixth.
