The African dust persists today in most parts of the country, creating a sultry atmosphere mainly in the west and south, while the temperature will rise slightly.
Yesterday, according to the stations of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr, 108 weather stations recorded maximum temperatures above 30 °C, including Attica.
Maximum temperatures above 30 °C were also recorded in parts of Epirus, Thessaly, Sterea, Peloponnese and the Dodecanese. The highest maximum temperatures were again recorded on the island of Crete, with the highest maximum temperature being recorded at Toplou Monastery at 38.6 °C.

Scattered clouds are forecast, increasing mainly in the north. During the midday and afternoon hours, local showers or thunderstorms are expected in mountainous parts of the mainland.
The atmospheric circulation favours the transport of Saharan dust with increased concentrations mainly in the west and south, while in the remaining areas reduced concentrations are expected compared to Sunday.
The temperature will range from 10 to 27-28 degrees in Northern Greece, from 12 to 30-32 degrees in Central and Southern Greece, from 14 to 34 degrees in Western Greece (from 12 to 29-30 degrees in Epirus), from 18 to 28 degrees in the Cyclades and from 15 to 27 degrees in Crete (locally in western and southern Crete up to 33 degrees), from 15 to 31 degrees in the East Aegean islands and from 16 to 30 degrees in the Dodecanese (locally in Rhodes up to 32-33 degrees).

The winds in the Aegean will blow from the north in general directions with intensities up to 3-4 Beaufort and locally in the south up to 5 Beaufort. Winds in the Ionian Sea will blow from the east, generally from the east, with intensities up to 3-4 Beaufort and in the southern Ionian Sea up to 5-6 Beaufort.
